I agree that Biden needs to step down, but saying he didn't accomplish anything is ridiculous -- in terms of progressive legislation he's been the most accomplished president in my lifetime, desire working with some of the narrowest congressional margins ever. Infrastructure, CHIPS, the biggest climate package in American history, etc. The problem is that he's been unable to communicate those successes the last few years, and now he's so focused on angrily defending his record that he's failing to articulate an inspiring vision for the next few years (which most of his own supporters don't believe he'll be able to serve out effectively anyway).
I think its a stretch to say most progressive; ya there wasn't really another president who was better on unions and trusts but its a very low bar. Bernie Sanders grew up lower middle class in Brooklyn to an immigrant whose family died in the holocaust and a working class mother. He was never exorbitantly rich at any point in his life; he became a millionaire after his long political career and book sales but nothing out of the ordinary for someone his age. Over 95% of his campaign financing comes from small individual donations, he is pretty much the most grass roots politician serving currently.
